• Offer information to the callers about the status of their pharmacy Prior Authorizations.
• Inform the callers about the different alternatives in case their pharmacy Prior Authorizations were denied
• Place the Prior Authorizations for pharmacy on cover my meds, the information is provided by the callers at the Dr’s office.
• Advice the callers important information regarding their Prior Authorization.
• Assist the pharmacy with any claim issues they may have and if needed reached escalations teams for any urgent matter.
• Place the pharmacy override for the medications, if applicable and also taking into consideration the restriction of some medications and the plan guidelines.
• Send the Prior Authorizations form and Appeal form through fax to the providers and also any documentation they may require.
• Use my training skills and knowledge to ensure the callers felt supported and value while engaging in active listening to identify customers needs, clarify information, research every issue, explain and provide solutions as well as diffuse angry callers as needed.
