Over the 14 years in the construction industry, Domhnaill (Danny) has acquired a broad spectrum of skills, particularly in the areas of post contract cost management, contract support & administration, claims management & assessment, dispute resolution and earlier in his career, pre contract.
Danny’s extensive experience in the Middle East region mainly includes, managing all commercial aspects of post contract projects and an involvement in the successful settlement of a number of high-profile arbitration proceedings. Such commissions called for ongoing interface with various stakeholders and constant Client interaction and update.
Danny’s core strengths include:
- Post contract commercial management services, in particular, contract administration, reviewing / negotiating variations & payment applications and final accounts settlement's.
- Defending delay claims and preparing counter claims for clients, including identifying and defending contractual arguments in relevant contract management correspondence.
- Preparing claims with the assistance of forensic planners, using forensic delay analysis approaches such as time-impact, time-slice & impacted-as-planned methods.
- Experience with various forms of contracts, including RIAI, GDLA (Ireland), Oman Standard Contract (Building and Civil Engineering Works), FIDIC (Red & Yellow Book), bespoke contracts, such as Oil & Gas Development and Production Service Contracts.

Oman - 8 years, Quantity Surveyor - Senior Quantity Surveyor role. Post Contract, Procurement & Contract Service, managing various government ministry and commercial projects.
Ireland - 2 years, Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Pre & Post Contract services. Small to medium projects for private Client's.
