Graciela Meza Moreno

My name is Graciela Meza Moreno and I am English Teacher. I decided to study Education because I believe only Educators may improve our society leaving footprints in our learners. I consider teachers have a very important mission: to develop skills, values and strengths in our pupils for changing the society, these pupils will improve the environment and the society thinking about current generations and future generations for building a better country.

In my opinion, that mission is not easy to make it come true. First of all, teachers must guide to learners, that is clear. But also, teachers have to create the conditions that enable the students to learn for themselves. Teachers should know how pupils are thinking and feeling in the class for building effective working relationships and a good classroom atmosphere.

On the other hand, I would like to mention what I do in my free time. I consider it is important to have a healthy style life. For that, I do jogging almost every day very early. At the weekends I play basketball with my neighbors and at nights I love watch movies specially about Second World War.

Also, I think it is important to be a better person for oneself and for our environment, specially if I am a teacher because the educators have a responsibility with the society. For that reason, I train by attending workshops and courses about Education which are about some topics such as social emotional learning, inclusive education, flipped class, etc.

Finally, it is relevant to remember our goal like teachers: to create the conditions that enable the students to learn for themselves. Educators should know how learners are thinking and feeling in the class for building effective working relationships and a good classroom atmosphere instilling values ​​such as respect, empathy and tolerance.
