    You'll be based in one of our Latin America offices and will be part of our McKinsey Global Energy & Materials practice. You'll be responsible for identifying new client opportunities to advise companies on transformational change and capability building.You will also lead and advise developing consultants and be an important source of intellectual insight on a client project, framing business problems in a way that the teams can then execute to drive impact and value for the client. Advising and collaborating with individual project managers, you'll lead the teams on their day to day problem solving, team management and client management.Additionally, you'll bring deep functional knowledge, expertise and proprietary tools to every client situation. You'll manage and develop strategic client relationships while ensuring the highest quality client work and while inspiring, leading, and developing new consultants.You will have the opportunity to leverage your proven leadership skills and your interest in inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating a true followership. In a collaborative team setting, you'll work closely with others but also autonomously with little direction. Your superior analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure successful client projects and team performance.You'll also gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. Consultants receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues and senior leaders on their teams.
    • Advanced graduate degree typically required (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.)
    • 10+ years of work experience after graduate school
    • Ideally prior experience as a consultant at a similar level in a professional services firm
    • Distinctive record of managerial and professional achievement and impact
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams
    • Strong entrepreneurial drive
    • In-depth knowledge or defined involvement in helping to frame, design and execute solutions for challenging business situations
    • Proven thought leadership with your industry space including production and syndication or publication of marketable knowledge
    • Demonstrated aptitude for analytical and conceptual problem solving; comfort with quantitative analysis
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Outstanding listening skills and the ability to manage through influence
    • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish
