This is a 12-month mandate in Lima, Peru.
The mandate is under the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 12 countries and 3 regions over a eight-year period


The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality.

Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights.

Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.


Here's what your daily life will look like:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country team members, your mandate will be to:

  • Provide support to the Oxfam Peru team in the administrative and programmatic aspects of the VCP, as well as to volunteers and VCP partner organizations, coordinating the management of the Voluntary Cooperation Program and participating in the development of key program tools (such as the Annual Work Plan, Strengthening Plans, etc.);
  • Organize training workshops on the VCP for partner organizations, including its objectives, indicators and goals, administrative and financial policies and procedures, and how they can be supported throughout the process;
  • Facilitate the integration of new volunteers in coordination with the Oxfam Peru team and provide them with training on the VCP;
  • Contribute to align Peru's advocacy strategy with VCP priorities and the strategic plans of VCP partner organizations, and align collaboration strategies between volunteers and VCP partner organizations;
  • Contribute to the organizational strengthening of partner organizations in terms of project design and management;
  • Contribute, with the Operations and Programs teams, to the planning and monitoring of the budget, to the preparation of requests for payment or funds for the VCP within the established deadlines;
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial and narrative reports to ensure compliance with Oxfam-Québec and donor standards and requirements according to established deadlines;
  • Ensure the integration of a feminist approach in VCP programming, implementation and reporting.

For this mandate you must:


  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in project management or any other relevant field;
  • Have 2 years of professional experience in preparing and managing budgets and writing accountability reports;
  • Be fluent in Spanish, spoken and written (required);
  • Master the Office suite.

  • A volunteer support program during your mandate and up to two months after the end of your mandate;
