- Perform fundamental analysis on credits and assign an internal rating.
- Monitor credit quality of both individual credits and overall sector trends
- Produce both written and oral relative value recommendations
- Collaborate with analysts and portfolio managers on investment opportunities and sale recommendations
- Frequently interact with portfolio managers and traders
- Quickly respond to ad hoc credit requests.
- 1-5 years municipal credit research experience
- Bachelor's degree (Finance/Economic or math related field is preferred, but other areas acceptable)
- Must be detail oriented, organized and willing to learn
- Independent thinker with the ability to hold contrarian views.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in standard software packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.
- Personable, collegial and team-oriented.
- CFA or working towards certification
- Technical, programming, modelling skills
- 1+ years of investment experience, preferably in the municipal market

Position Overview
Schroders is seeking a Municipal Credit search Analyst to join the US Fixed Income Research team. The analyst will be a generalist, covering all sectors across the municipal market. The municipal team is a collaborative desk, where portfolio managers and analysts collaborate on idea generation in order to source alpha for clients.

Schroders offers a base salary in a range of $130,000 to $150,000 for this position.
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
