We are in search of a Finance Director (Peru) who will be responsible for the financial management of our Goodyear Business Unit interacting with the local and regional leadership team and ensuring that proper finance decisions are made.

Our Finance Director-Peru reports to the Vice President Finance-LA with a matrix to the local GM/MDs who report to the President of the LA SBU.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership role that maximizes business performance understanding and having the ability to summarize and communicate clearly the financial and operating results of the country in order to measure progress against objectives and assess the effectiveness of decisions made
  • Understand the market environment, including general macroeconomic factors, financial markets, tire industry data, and competitors' strategies
  • Provide finance advice for business decision making
  • Closely work with Sales & Marketing area to develop effective pricing strategies to meet targeted results
  • Preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Monthly Financial Estimates ensuring coordination across the functions so that reviews and adjustments can be addressed on a timely basis
  • Maximize cash repatriation to parent company while funding country operations
  • World-class working capital management effectively interacting with other functional leaders (Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing) in driving improved results
  • Risk Management (identify and address business risks)
  • Maintain effective relationship with customers to monitor their business performance and financial condition, gather market information and enhance business intelligence
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and financial estimates (Balance Sheet, P/L, Cash Flow)
  • Build Organizational capability (high-performance organization)
  • Attend Monthly Finance Leadership Team meeting and Country Operating Committee meetings
  • Supports: ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 45001; IATF 16949 as it requires

Education:

  • The Country Finance Director will require a bachelor's degree in a related field (Economics, Business Administration, Accounting etc.)
  • Fluent in English and in Spanish
  • MBA highly desired

Experience:

  • 10+years of successful finance leadership experience ideally in a large global company
  • Functioned as a Finance Director with full Balance Sheet and P/L responsibility
  • Solid overall finance knowledge and versed in best practices related to financial management
  • Experience in developing cost reduction strategies
  • Development of pricing strategies in cooperation with Sales & Marketing area
  • Systems and processes optimization and standardization
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley related activities
  • Solid experience with people management and building organizational capability

  • Strong leader with the presence, skills, and business focus to quickly establish relationships and credibility with local and regional management team
  • Excellent team player and team builder being able to maintain team's performance and make right decisions even under high levels of pressure and tight deadlines
  • Proactive, results-oriented, sense of urgency, high level of energy, enthusiasm, and passion
  • Excellent communication both orally and written (English/Spanish fluency)
  • Ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner and to install confidence and trust
  • Ability to provide focus in an environment that may be filled with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Strong Analytical skills being able to understand and address complex issues
  • Flexibility to work/leave outside home country and capacity to grow beyond the Country Finance Director with a desire to take on a higher financial or operational leadership post in the future
