The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour).

Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.

Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements

Major Responsibilities:
Facilitating planning construction methods and procedures.
Initiating requisitions for field purchases.
Preparing quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Verifying commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Ensuring zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Proactively considering continuous learning or showing interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
Developing firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
Reviewing and approving inspection test plans.
Coordinating reviews of subcontractor submittals.


Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience and CIP Certification (Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú)

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy.

Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.

Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.

Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.

Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.
