Legal Counsel-Perú, para trabajar con nuestro equipo.


Acerca del rol

  • Preparing, reviewing, revising and negotiating EPC, EPCM and all different type of contracts with clients, vendors, and other third parties, including intellectual property, term and conditions, nondisclosure agreements, and other complex commercial agreements.
  • Research and respond to general legal inquiries from project managers that may relate to contract provisions, litigation, regulatory issues, intellectual property, privacy matters, fraud issues, and client complaints;
  • Sharing responsibility for maintaining, updating and revising contract template agreements;
  • Providing legal support to business lines during bid procedures up to contract award stage
  • Examining legal information and documents, and regulations for leaders in the business.
  • Prepare and give support on corporate matters and powers of attorney.
  • Report and control litigation matters in the country liaising and managing external counsel conducting those litigations.
  • Review, develop, collate, negotiate and assess potential risks of client and subconsultant contract documents;
  • Prepare detailed recommendation for approval of contractual documentation and coordinate internal approval;
  • Summarize legal requirements of executed contracts and participate in contract handover meetings with project team members.

Others

  • Provide advice on employment issues, administrative policy, and regulatory compliance issues, as required
  • Working on general corporate and intellectual property matters;
  • Monitor litigation with external council.
  • Interpreting other legal information and documents, and regulations for leaders in the business.
  • Develop and provide training to the business on various legal topics, including anticorruption, conflicts of interest, competition law, contract negotiation and administration and other emerging issues;
  • Actively support senior management by developing high quality innovative legal strategies;
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the Legal team on key legal issues

Acerca de ti

Formal Education and Qualifications - Essential qualifications and/or education

  • Completion of a university degree in Law
  • 4+ years of relevant experience inhouse and negotiating and drafting all kind of contractual documents.
  • Prior experience managing external counsels.
  • Solid understanding and background in legal concepts applicable to the engineering services and consulting businesses, including EPCM and EPC projects.

Skills and Knowledge - Level of skills and knowledge areas needed to operate competently in role.

  • Excellent written and oral skills in Spanish and English;
  • Strong abilities in contract negotiation and drafting, with emphasis on risk management;
  • Strong degree of common sense, analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities;
  • Impeccable attention to detail;
  • Sound and practical business judgment with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team;
  • Ability to meet the challenge of tight deadlines and working under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with all levels of management;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Work Experience - Detail work experience background, preferred or required.

  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience part in private practice and/or inhouse role, with a proven track record of efficiency, collaborating directly with the business and internal stakeholders to close transactions
  • Experience in commercial claims/disputes (contract & tort);
  • Solid understanding of or background in fields and construction/engineering law;
