Descripción

Conducts platform training-related classes and orientations; conducts hands-on training task/skills, outsource training and other activities in English and Spanish (Mostly Spanish), as Platform Instructor and On the Job Training Instructor.

Assist the Peru Training Manager in developing, scheduling, and coordinating training requirements for Host Nation personnel in the area of aviation maintenance.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops formal classroom courseware to ISD standards in Spanish to ensure that program training objectives, standards and procedures are understood.
  • Utilizes training documents and test control measures of courses, tests and handson evaluations.
  • Trains, monitors and evaluates aviation maintenance Students and On the Job Training personnel on maintenance actions performed, inspections aircraft and equipment condition for safety, compliance with technical directives, maintenance directives, and OSHA and Department of State regulations.
  • Provides onthespot instruction to maintenance personnel as necessary.
  • Within the scope of his aviation trainer duties, ensures all company workplace and aviation maintenance safety practices are always complied with.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Peru TNG MGR and the Site Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • A minimum of Seven (7) years' experience Airframe and Power Plant mechanic.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a platform/handson Instructor in an aviation maintenance training program/school (i.e. INL/a program, and/or the BAMC in Lima), or other aviation maintenance trainer accredited school.
  • If no FAA A&P, in possession of an equivalent aircraft maintenance license, i.e. General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGAC) for Peru / South America.
  • Experience in courseware development for aircraft systems.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of hand tools, hardware, and equipment used in the maintenance of aircraft.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable of all requirements within the Technical Orders as they apply.
  • Must be able to interpret technical data.
  • Must have good English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpretation skills for inspection duty, and an ability to analyze inspection findings.
  • Travel may be required on a periodic basis.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance management programs
  • Working knowledge of Quality Control programs, OSHA and Department of State regulations.
  • Spanish language proficiency level 2 required; Able to speak and write in Spanish sufficiently to train and oversee Host National Police to meet the conditions of the duties assigned.
  • Possess or have the Ability to obtain and maintain a Background Investigation through Host Nation US Embassy as a condition of continued employment.
